Posts: 1698 Dec 31 05 4:17 PM	I just had coffee with a guy who specializes in New Orleans Jazz. His name is Norrie Cox. In fact, he started a program in Milwaukee teaching inner city students who've never played an instrument before to play jazz based on improvisation. Norrie's theory is that the traditional New Orleans Jazz captured the joy and spirit of the emancipation. I think you'll find some of his articles and music interesting. He is big on the interaction of the instruments which is predominant in the music.
