While sitting at home sick on Friday, I threw on my DVD, the Search for Robert Johnson. There is a particularly chilling passage during the film when they're interviewing "Mack" McCormick, and he tells a story about tracking down the man believed to have poisoned Johnson, and basically says that this man confessed to him that he was indeed the killer. However, McCormick wouldn't reveal the man's name, only that he was black, and that he didn't know if he was still alive or not. This passage has always struck me as intensely interesting.
Has anyone heard anything to the effect that McCormick will reveal this man's identity one day? Or will McCormick go to the grave being the only person who knows definitively who killed Robert Johnson?
