Hey y'all, just introducing myself properly as a first post should be. I'm a 15 year old blues junkie from Hamilton, Ontario who especially loves the pre-war country/delta blues.

Welcome here Brent, Glad you joined us, hope you'll like it, I sure do.

So, Hamilton, eh, I only was ever there one time briefly, applied for a job as a child care worker, I had to take that very very lenghty MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) and after that the actual interview lasted about 40 nanoseconds

Yeah Hamilton, that is down 27 from the 401, no? It's been a long time.

You sure do have a lot of company here liking pre-war/delta blues, even most of the rockers have a respect for that music.

Well look arounf the different sub-forums, there is interesting stuff going on in nearly about every one.

Hi Brent. This is a wonderful place to be for the blues minded. You will find such incredible knowledge among the folks here. It's an amazing forum and always something going on. Btw, I'm lived in Hamilton when I was quite young. Did you know that SRV and Albert King did the televison program, Prime, which is now entitled "In Session" at the CHCH studios in Hamilton? If you're an SRV fan, it's a must have. Welcome and enjoy. You'll love it here.

I'm about your age (except the numbers are in a different order : I'll turn 51 next january

and I love pre-war blues too.

I grew up in Oakville, just a wee bit down the road from you.

It is simply wonderful that a young person is getting involved here. YOu know you have great blues people from your own city -- Daniel Lanois for one.

Post often, ask any questions you might have.

And get your family to bring you down to either the Ottawa Blues Fest next July, or the tenth Limestone City Bluesfest just down the lake in Kingston.

Welcome from Edmonton! Good to see someone developing good taste early. got into that stuff around then myself.

Dont' skimp out on the electric blues, though: it's all related, and there's lots of good stuff to be discovered in that vein, too!

If you get a chance and are out west and like the delta stuff, check out Marshall Lawrence and 'Crawdad' Canterra when you get a chance. They're awesome!
