Amazingly the long lost 78 from Son House's 1928 Paramount session has been found! It features Mississippi County Farm Blues and Clarksdale Moan. Just heard them last night and they are incredible. Yazoo will be releasing them on an anthology in 2-3 months.
The 78 was in V condition but Rich Nevins was able to get a great sound out of the grooves. You could hear everything Son was playing and singing. I'm not sure who or where the 78 was found but it is so amazing that these rare gems keep popping up. Now let's hope the lost Willie Brown Paramount 78 finds the light of day.
