After seeing a very annoying geezer in group called Bluehealer he was an Aussie and when he seemed to think there is only one Melbourne in the world he very nearly got barracked by me. He had previously asked what song he was going to play when mentioning a joker and a thief. At that point he very nearly got the reply North Country Blues?

In case you are wondering there is a Melbourne in Derbyshire UK which has been a village BEFORE Capt Cook set sail!!

There's a sign not far from my Grandmothers house just outside Newcastle (upon Tyne) which reads

Washington'

There's a district of Derby called California- which is a Grapes of Wrath in reverse!!

I also work just across the road from an area known on the map as Sludge Lagoon which I suppose is a nice way of describing the sewage treatment works!!

Well we could say to the Europeans and British when they refer to "the continent", "there are other continents."

I live in Birmingham, but not England. We are fisin' to have a huge festival, known as "City Stages". Robert Cray and Keb Mo are featured this year. The downtown area is closed and I think there are six stages. There is always a Blues Stage, as we have some living legends around here, such as Willie King and Jerry "Boogie" McCain, Little Jimme Reed, who are usually regulars at the event.
