I saw on the Blues Foundation site that Blind Boy Fuller is now part of the exclusive Hall of Fame list. What took them so long ?

Just like the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, the Handy Awards, and other ceremonies, they don't compile one master list and induct everyone at the same time. They generally start by inducting the most-famous or most-influential figures and continue by adding a few each year.

Halls of fame always strike me as being a bit silly, but they don't do any harm and they make people happy, so why not?

I went through the list and something which struck me was the long gap between inducting Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee - if ever there was a duo that called for gaining recognition at the samw time it was those two.

Each year there is at least one person that I would induct BBF before him, save maybe the 1990 inductees.
