Your purchase of BluesFest 2012 Ticket(s) with Hotel reservation will hold, a room, in the reserved BluesFest block of rooms at the McClure House Hotel, The McClure House is just 2 short blocks from the front gate of the Heritage Music BluesFest. The cost of the room is in ADDITION to the ticket cost. The room rate is $118 - $128 per room per night plus 12% room tax.

Just check the weather, lookin pretty good.
Maybe a bit of rain but today but not much and than it's clear sailing with much cooler temps than what we are used to!!!

Wheeling was everything I'd hoped it would be, and more. Great music, friends and weather. And, I got to dance and walk up and down steps. Chris and I got to catch the lunch time preview set on friday afternoon. I was shocked to find Southern Hospitality wailing away as we made our way down to the stage. Talk about a happy surprise.

Their evening set was killer as was everyone else. Rich Del Grosso and Jonn Del Toro Richardson were one of my most anticipated sets and they was even better than I imagined. Rich's mando and Jonn's guitar work real well off one another. Great feel. Peter Karp and Sue Foley hadda solid set of mostly originals that kept my store bought toes a tappin' throughout.

I was really happy with Robert Cray's set. He had Richard Cousins back on bass and it sounded like how I want a Cray show to sound. Sweet, stinging guitar and soulful vocals to spare. It's been at leat half a dozen years since I last saw him and worth the wait. Good stuff. The afterjam w/southern hospitality's set was great stuff. I could listen to them cats all day and pretty nearly did. Damon Fowler and JP Soars are top shelf gitar pickers and Victor Wainwright adds killer keys. They all bring something cool individuaally with their vocals. Can't wait to hear the CD they are currently recording.

I may have mentioned this but Sue & Peter were to play at a fundraiser for Waldo Canyon fire victims a month or so ago, but got way-layed in New Mexico and didn't make it (at least as of the time I left). I hope to get another opp.
