Born in Arkansas, she started her career singing with Robert Nightwawk.

she recorded a few songs for the Friendly Five label around 1963/1964.

And Blue Escorpio favours her excellent one off full-length CD.

... In the early 80's she sang during 3 years with Junior Wells as a regular act at the Theresa's Lounge.

That would be Henry Gray. He was born in Kenner (we were there together, JC, that's where I bought my boots !) and became a roofer when he went back to Louisiana, but he did help his mom with her fish market business too.

C'était notre série "culture et confiture".

Below is Henry receiving some French blues award from some dude sometime in the 2000's.

OK, here's a huge, and final hint : actually I'm practically giving away the answer with it.

The lead singer of said band(s) was no other than Hank Ballard. So, what was the name of that band before they changed it ?

Well, I never thought that would be that tough, so I'm giving away the answer :

The band was called the Royals (thus, "not to be confused with the 5 Royales" in the original question), they had a hit with the song Get It (that was a hint in the question) but later changed their name to Hank Ballard and the Midnighters.

So, the floor is now open to anyone who wishes to take over, while I'll take my hat and coat and leave as discreetly as possible.

Son House (doesn't look like him, but is clapping),
Tommy Johnson, Henry Sims and Waters,
Howlin Wolf, Bo Carter, Charlie Patton (riding the guitar the "wrong way around"), looks like Memphis Slim but it might be Arthur Crudup or BB Broonzy,
Robert Johnson and JLH
??? Robert Lockwood, Barbecue Bob (must've ran out of delta bluesman)
...and Willie Brown out yonder

Well... at least I had a go

...but I can talk about the blues till the bluesman comes
