Uncle John (Mississippi John Hurt) and his entire family were staying with us at the time here in Boston. While we awaited the arrival of Dick Waterman, MJH was telling me that he would appear at Newport, but first he would be stopping over in Martha's Vineyard for a gig there. Great summer, folks. No folk fan breathing wanted to miss Newport '65. Indeed, Son House was there, Dylan would show and would get booed for going electric. I remember Donovan came, along with Dick Farina, and many many more. Oh, what a great time to be alive!
