The CT Blues Society's 2012 Blues Challenge begins this Thursday 4/26 at Black Eyed Sally's BBQ & Blues in Hartford CT at 8 PM. The preliminaries continue on the three subsequent Thursdays, winding up on 5/17 with the debut performance by The Mighty Soul Drivers, a new band featuring yours truly. 
Since I am a contestant this year, I won't be doing any judging, but the panel will still be composed of experts from Blues radio and musicians including some, like Ryan Hartt, who have competed at the IBC in Memphis.
The finals will be held in September with the four winners of the preliminaries and one wild card that is the band that had the highest overall score but was not one of the four prelim winners.
