Deepest Blue Posts: 890 Mar 24 12 4:36 PM	I have a wonderful full length DVD of Long John a few years before his death...It was filmed at a large hall in the Black Forest in Germany, and features Kathi McDonald on background and lead vocals...It also contains some wonderful blues. Considering I'm something of a purist in many ways, this DVD is one of my favorite rainy day watches...The band is super tight, the musicianship is drop dead professional and downright fun. Both John's and McDonald's vocals are to die for! I had a number of his albums back in the 70's that were more eclectic and I actually prefer this DVD to those albums--at least for the Blues contained on it....
