Alright, I just had my vacations confirmed, so I'm starting to do everything it takes to get my French a$$ to Beale Street next IBC !!!

Hurrah!!!! Now I got to get my funds together, some of our friends who're also BBF members are looking at doing a small fundraiser for my flight expense since I have been unemployed so long and they know I go back and work my tail off. I'll plan on seeing you there Rene!! It'll be good times again.

The week after the IBC, I'm going to New Orleans, then back home on Feb. 10th.

So, let's see :

Flights : booked
Hotel room : booked
Blues Foundation membership : renewed
IBC pass : bought
Authorization to enter the USA : checked
Appointment with my banker : booked

(really !)

All I have left to do is to get me some US dollars and find a place to stay in NOLA. Oh, and pack !
But that can wait.

See y'all in Memphis.
It's hard to believe that this will be my 14th year in a row as an IBC judge ... I really enjoy the entire process in spite of the long hours.

When I started IBC judging years ago there were only about 3 or 4 venues and the judging lasted only about 2 to 3 hours per night over two nights ... and now there's 8 (?) solo/duo venues and 11 band venues ... and the first three nights of judging takes about 6 to 7 hours per night per venue.

After the IBC ... I'll be going on a road trip to New Orleans with our BBF pal and my "Lil Bro", Ren�.

Lots of great music, good times, good food, and good blues comradeship coming up in early February.
