Who are they ?

first hint:

Both have - what a surprise - to do with the latest discography I uploaded the day before yesterday !

... thought I couldn't make it easier than to refer to my WA discography wink.gif

Last but one hint: One of them is the main artist of that discography, the other is his long time drummer !

Last hint: The drummer's stage name wouldn't make you think he is the drummer ;-)

That's why I'll give the answer myself (don't know if this isn't against any rule, but I'll do it just the same;-):

The men in the picture are Woodrow Adams and Fiddlin' Joe Martin, photographed in Robinsonville, Mississippi by George Mitchell !

New question (hopefully easier to find out than the last one):

Who's that guitarist playing his solo ?

I thought it was Woodrow Adams because of the huge hint you gave - actually you practically gave it away

- but I really had no idea who the other guy was, despite the clue you gave.

Oh well, so much for this so-called knowledgeable French dude...

As for the new question, I'm sure I know the guy, I've heard this playing before, I probably own some of his music on CDs, but I just can't put my finger on it.

His fast little notes makes me think of players like Tiny Grimes or T-Bone, but I don't think it's any of them because I believe they would have slipped some unexpected notes in different octaves, while this one, though quite delicate and sophisticated, still plays in a rather straight forward style.
It made me think of Clarence Gatemouth Brown, especially that one high note at the beginning, but I don't recognise his tone. Plus despite Gate's fluid fingering, there was something more "hammered" in his playing I didn't recognise here. Dang !

Can you confirm it's not Gatemouth ?
