In the early 60's, noting that the blues was going to be eclipsed by rock'n'roll and soul music, this well known Alabama born Chicago blues musician decided abruptly to put his guitar in its case and hid it under the bed. He sent himself at school, became an electronic engineer and retired 26 years later to reemerge with two albums recorded since his return.

HINT : he had a wrangle about a hit he claimed he had composed but which the writing credits were owned by the wife of the musician he started to play with in the early 50's.
