In Muddy's tune, 'I feel like going home', is the lyric

"Feel like blowin' my horn",

or

"Feel like blowin' my home"? I can never make it out.

I always heard it as blowing my horn... as in being boastful about one's self... jmo...

Feel like blowing my horn is right, but it has nothing to do with being boastful. It has to do with your woman not being there when you need her. Of course, you can always blow your own horn, but that's still the BLUES.

Yeah, "feel like blowin' my horn" is a reference to a wanted sexual encounter, and in Muddy's tune the obvious (and frustrating) problem is that Muddy ain't gonna get none...Why Chess called the song "I Feel Like Going Home" might be something to wonder about, but then Chess claimed on those first Muddy Aristocrat recordings that he couldn't understand Muddy's mushmouthed vocals anyway! Alan Lomax called essentially the same tune "Country Blues" on the Library of Congress recordings...I doubt Muddy cared one way or the other because I don't think he could actually read or write very well, and was probably happy as anything to be finally making a new recording in a real studio this time...To paraphrase Rice Miller, "You can call it your mammy if ya wanna!"
