OK! I guess its almost March Trivia now.

This guitar player was born in New York, hs had many of his songs covered by guys like Albert King, Albert Collins,Son Seals, Joe Louis Walker, Papa John Creach, Dave Alvin, Eva Cassidy, Coco Montoya, Tabby Thomas, Chris Thomas King, Billy Lee Riley and James Armstrong.
His songs and playing have been featured in "In the Heat of the Night." and in the show "Grease", he has received six W. C. Handy Award Nominations he currently hosts a radio program.
Who is he?

Apart from guitar what other instrument (odd in a blues sense but apt for Alex)did Alexis Korner record a solo blues track with.

He began to dabble with harmonica at the age of 12, he started playing seriously after hearing "Juke", he moved to Chicago in 1952 and formed the Savage Boys, name him!

this guy once told me he played the guitar on wilson pickett's "midnight hour". he was from the east coast and died of a heart attack while swimming in a pool at a motel. another clue: his 1st name was walter.
