Folks, I put together a collage that I wanted to share - "Top 14" Influential Telecaster Players. Not all blues but I've got Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Keith Richards, Danny Gatton, Jonny Lang, and Roy Buchanan on the list. Even a very slick video of Prince and Jonny Lang covering Red House (or Purple House). Thanks. Top 14 Influential Telecaster Players

Must add Jeff Beck, Albert Lee, Robbie Robertson, Peter Townsend and even David Gilmour (more bluesy that usuallly thought).

Well if the point is to add our own favorite Telecaster players rather than just check James' list, then I'd like to add one of my own : Mr. Bill Kirchen.

Even though I'm no musician myself, Bill Kirchen certainly was an influence to me as his sound helped shape my taste in music.

In another current thread, Jeff talks about how some musics pass the test of time and some don't.
As far as I'm concerned, Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen as well as any of Bill Kirchen's later albums certainly do !

this could be a very big list however I think it could be cut back a little by just allowing players who played only the telecaster. So Jeff Beck, Robben Ford, Pete Townsend and Dave Gilmour would come off. Wilko Johnson would definitely go on.

Doing that would also take a number of people off the original list:

Muddy Waters (played a guild for a while)
Keith Richards (numerous other guitars)
Roy Buchanan (played a Les Paul some)
