Hi Folks - good to be here. I grew up in New Zealand, spent 30 years in England and now 20 years in the US (Virginia). I've played tenor sax for most of my life and one of my biggest thrills was opening a gig for Champion Jack Dupree. My greatest non-playing blues experience was the Fairfield Hall, Croydon concert back in '63 where we saw Sleepy John Estes, Bukka White, Lightnin' Hopkins, Big Joe Willams and many others.
Alltime favorite albums include Jimmy Rushing's first album on Vanguard and Joe Turner's 'Boss of the Blues'
Trivia: I have a friend whose father played saxophone on Percy Mayfield's 'Please Send Me Someone to Love'
