As some of ya'll may know we were selected as one of the 25 finalists in this Blues Idol thing. We did not make the final 10 but that's ok!! Like I said it was real cool just to be recognized and to get as far as we did.

Los Angeles, CA (January 26, 2005): The heated legal battle between media giant
“American Idol” and the Blues label / Blues talent search, “Blues Idol”, over use of
the word “IDOL” in the company’s name has come to an unfortunate end. The team of lawyers and millions of dollars behind Simon Cowell and his highly rated Fox TV show have filed an injunction against Blues Idol requiring the start-up label to not only change its name, but requiring Blues Idol cancel its first Finals event under the threat of an even larger suit. Blues Idol has come to an agreement with the American Idol lawyers to prevent on going legal battle; Blues Idol will officially
change its name to “BLUES ICON” and under the terms of this agreement can hold
a Finals event in 2006 and after, however a Final event for 2004-2005 can not be
held.
