Hi all, new to the BBF Post War Blues site. What a great site!
Was wondering if someone out there may have some detail on Bobby "Guitar" Bennett? I have two songs by him, one the incredible "When Girls Do It" from the comp of the same name and another which is more NOLA than Chicago called "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" on another comp called "Eeny Meeny Moe".
I can't find any detail on him at all and am blown away by his singing and playing on When Girls Do It. The song is so laid back and his guitar playing at the end is pretty modern sounding for the time it was recorded. I know there is a flip side called "She's So Fine". Does anyone know if this or any of his other obscure singles are available on any other comps? I've exhausted google trying to search.
Any details about him is greatly appreciated, I did try to search the site but nothing came up on him, so please excuse if this is a topic that's previously been discussed.
Thanks!
