Wow, the Belichicka-bees are really starting to wear thin and the season has yet to start. Who cares which QB is the starter in Cleveland and just why does Eric Mangilichick have to keep it a freakin' secret? Then there's Josh Mcilichick with his matching cutoff sweatshirt(like father like son) doing his little Billy routine a mile high, acting like the lack of oxygen is getting to him. There's no denying the success Belichick has had. I was a huge fan of his work with that Giants D back in the day, that gameplan vs the Bills in the Superbowl was a work of art IMO. Thing is, these cats come off more as stalkers than disciples, just seems like they are carrying his love of machination too far. I've always had a soft spot for Denver's fans and the gametime atmosphere there so I hope things work, but I gotta wonder just how much this guy has on the ball. I really feel bad for the frownies followers. They just suffered through the pitiful reign of one ex-Pats d-coordinator and now are faced with this, whatever it is.

If these guys prove to be successful, good for them. I just get tired of them trying to act like someone else. They need to equal their mentor's abilities as a coach during preparation and onfield come gameday not just ape his love of control. It works for him because he was around long enough and suffered enough personal failure to understand what worked best for him. That formula alone is not why the Pats got to where they are, that cat understands the game like only a battle weary veteran could. Perhaps Mangini learned something from his tenure in NY, but McDaniels comes off as more of a parrot than a free thinking coach.

The stillers picked up were they left off last year, pulling one out by the skin of their teeth. This team will give ya grey hairs, but find a way to win. Hines Ward's fumble was a rare mistake by one of the guys who always seems to do the right thing. Luckily they won the toss and put the game away after a huge catch by rookie Mike Wallace. Now, we gotta wait to see about that knee injury.

I'm having fun watching NYJ/NE. Bears/stillers should be interesting. Word came out this morning that Fast Willie Parker tweaked a hamstring in pregame warm-ups prior to the opener vs Tenn so we'll see if the run gan game looks any better this week.
