What is a Cigtar? It is a custom guitar made out of a cigar box. I offer both electric and acoustic models, in 3, 4 or 6 string. Each one is handmade by me...one-at-a-time. I played afestival with him last Labor Day and when Slim's band hit the stage, the sound quality of their CBG's were head and shoulders above the rest. You turn your back to the stage and you can't tell the difference between Slim's CBG and a Tele,Strat or any other regular Guitar. Then,you turn around and see these unique looking instruments that are just chunking out great Classic Blues/Rock tunes. They are really cool. A lot of CBG's are thin/weak sounding,,,,,cheap sounding and cheap looking instruments. Slim's are as chunky as a Les Paul. Posts: 3144 Jan 13 05 3:17 AM	Well,,,,,,you know,,,,LOL !!! seriously,I remember a couple guys telling me about a conversation you all were having about me the night before I got to the Festival. Something to the effect about trying to get me hooked on the CBG's and some people were saying that I wouldn't want anything to do with them,wouldn't play them or something like that. Well,to be honest with you, out of the CBG's I saw, I liked yours the best,,,I liked the Lowebows (too expensive for me) and Stacy's. I remember telling a bunch of the guys, "If I play a CBG,it's gonna have to have a Guitar neck on it with 6 strings and a REAL Guitar pickup." I can't do the Lap Slide thing, never could. I really dug your CBG and the Lowebows. I didn't see Shanes Speal's stuff,nor did I get to meet him. But man,did we have a blast or what? Just cuts right through ya' Jammed with a dude (Rollie Tussing)in Portland, OR in August that played one...best player I've seen is Richard Johnston (Memphis, TN). Don't know who made his instrument.
