There's also a book of Jazz Covers I'd like-it would help if I could remember the title! I'm also listing tickets for Pat Martino appearing at Jazz at the Bistro in February. I'm looking forward to hearing his new trio. January brings the Dave Holland Quintet to The Sheldon. This would be my first time hearing him live. As for books, are there any good new jazz bios out there? Deepest Blue Posts: 6152 Nov 15 08 1:24 PM	Jeff, I'm interested in a few of the Mosaic Selects 3 cd editions. Nothing at the very top of the list. Anyone of these would make me very happy. Benny Green - Spurrred after hearing his work on the Ike Quebec album "Easy Living". Grachan Moncur - Someone I'm very interested in hearing more of since I have him on a few albums featured as a sideman. The real big draw for me on this set is that it includes his work with Jackie McLean on the McLean led dates "Hipnosis" and "One Step Beyond" both which are currently OOP. Pacific Jazz Piano Trios - Not sure I can really go wrong here since I've been obsessed with West Coast musicians as of late. Features Jimmy Rowles, Richard Twardzik and Claire Fischer on keys.
