I am a self employed professional furniture maker/woodworker/contractor. Married to a wonderful woman and have two great sons, two great dogs, and am now a proud grandpap. I started playing guitar in 1964, guess who prompted that? I still have the 1949 O-18 that I found hiding in a closet at home, my dad told me not to touch it! Wrong Dad!!!!!!!!!!Don't tell your kids not to learn music or play music. I filled the hours of teenage angst surfing and learning chords, riffs, etc. and naturally gravitated to the three chord stuff because I could hear the changes and didn't need a degree in music theory to play. I much later took two years of classical lessons with a cat named Guy Horn. I have persistently, and consistently played stringed instruments since I was sixteen. Currently, I play music with several different people and pickup groups. My woodshop has served as the setting for at least a hundred jam sessions. I play at a local nightclub R&B/Jazz jam session fairly often. I have recorded several songs to tape but have no CD. I play a fairly decent bluesharp. While in the US Navy I kept one in my pocket constantly and really got my chops together and learned from listening to James Cotton, Blind Owl Wilson, Paul Butterfield, John Mayall, and Stevie Wonder as well as Norton Buffalo. I mostly play acoustic, but for the jamming I play an Asat Z3 G&L through a Prosonic Fender. I definitely am deeply into music as a form of self expression and spiritual manifestation, I write lyrics as well.
