We haven't done a BBF Give Away for quite awhile!!!! My fault for sure....

Here's a new one for all the Photography Buffs on the BBF....

SUBMIT YOUR FAVORITE (ONE ONLY) PHOTO --- Please keep the size down for easy viewing....

I'll pick a BBF Staff as Judges and will award "STUFF" to the "FAVORITE THREE PICKED".... (Slim Lively -- I'm gonna make you a Judge, so you are EXCLUDED

)....

PRIZES WILL INCLUDE EITHER A BBF TEE SHIRT - OR IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE A CD FROM A PNW ARTIST (my choosing of course --- but, someone like new BBFer Son Jack Jr.'s new CD...)....

Let's go until March 21st (two weeks from today.....)

Just to clarify the rules for this one, BluesBoss, can the photos be of anything or should they be of blues subjects only?

That contest didn't take long to find a winner.

With the action, the black, gray white background. The mystery of who's not shown, what it might sound like and of course the ledgend factor.

Seriously it brings back memories of me at that age on the champagne Slingerlands, (the same color), and my son Warren, starting his drum career. The plain tee shirt is timeless.

This one is of Big Bill Morganfield and Max Drake

it was an outdoor festival in July 2003 in Toronto and the band was great.
If I remember correctly, Tad Walters was on bass and Kenny Smith on drums.

This picture of Pops Taylor has a very special meaning to me and I think (hope) Koko as well.
It was taken backstage while the Blues Machine was warming up the crowd right before Koko took the stage in Wilmington, NC during the early part of 1988. Shortly there after Pops was killed in a car crash.
After an absence from performing Koko resumed her career and shortly after that she was scheduled to perform in Wilmington again.
I remembered this photo and had it enlarged and framed so I could give it to Koko. Before the show I asked my friend Eddie King when I should give it to her and he told me not to because he felt it would upset her. Eddie told me he would give it to her when they got back to Chicago.
The next Chicago Blues Festival I saw the band (at a club) and I asked Eddie if he gave it to her. He said yes and that she sobbed some but was very touched by the gift. He also told me she put it in her living room.
Eddie then took me over to Koko and said you remember Jim from NC... he gave you the picture of Pops. She thanked me, hugged me and told me that it meant so much to her.
I felt so good about that and to think as close to his death that I took this picture it might of been the last (most current) picture of Pops she had.
MY QUESTION: Has anyone here at the BBF (rshurman in particular) ever visited Koko in her home and by chance do you remember seeing this picture???

To answer some questions ---- there is a 3 judge panel....one judges name was already given away (Slim Lively).....done so to deflect any and every question of judgement away from me
