Hello there,
Introducing myself to y'all...
Flamingstratman told me about this forum so I've joined up... I jam with him when he visits London to play... Yeah...
So, I'm a professional improvising violinist. Classically trained through to a degree and all that but have always preferred improvising. Jazz, Rock, singer/songwriter stuff, Gypsy music... and of course, the Blues...
Playing with saxophonist Barbara Thompson & Paraphernalia has been one of the highlights of my career so far with the excellent Jon Hiseman on drums, Dave 'Taif' Ball on bass and Peter Lemer on keys.
I'm involved in many interesting projects and with my Pro recording gear would gladly be involved with other projects with whoever from around the World...
There is more information about me on my web-site: http://www.billythompson.co.uk
Feel free to contact me directly about working on your projects... anything's possible...
Keep jamming now... or as I translated for a French friend who asked me what 'Pump up the Jam meant':
'Gonfler le confiture!'...
All good,
Billy Thompson - Improvising Violinist
(Thompsound).
