I just joined today and have been a blues fanatic for over 40 years now. I had always liked blues-oriented music, but after going to the Berkeley Blues Festival in April 1966 I became totally hooked on the blues. The first half of the show had Lightning Hopkins and Clifton Chenier playing with Francis Clay on drums, but the second half was Muddy Waters with James Cotton and Otis Spann and the rest of his band.
I live across the bay from San Francisco and have been playing guitar for over 40 years, too.
