Finally, a compilation worthy of being called "blues." Blown-Up Records has re-issued some of the disastrous greats of the past, and this one's sure to satisfy the pyromania-type tendencies in so many.

If you enjoy pork chops, you're sure to appreciate PigPen Lightning, perfectly oinked out by Little Swine McHoof on the kazoo. For those of us who have experienced instant bacon, this really touches the soul.

The mysterious Hurricane Lamp Blues is a frightening account of the dark world of the hurricane lamp. Blind IvaJeanBelle has a voice that can bring even the most hardcore enlightened to tears as she passionately wails out the lyrics, "Don't name my hurricane lamp after me, even though "I" is up next."

One-man band Crazy Arms Spiderlegs reminds us how difficult it is to be out of sync in Stormy Tuesday, when everyone is well aware that Mondays are usually reserved for storms. The only problem with Crazy Arms' rendition of this classic is that since his cranial displacement, the left arm is a little slow, resulting in errant drum beats at times.

The Blackhead Sisters, with their gospel arrangement of Mt. Vesuvias Face Blues all too clearly describe how that disastrous plague, acne vulgaris, has been the downfall of many a super-model-in-the-making.

It's clear Murky Lakes has not lost his knack for shattering flute tone in his familiar trilogy, Twist and Shout, that old standard describing how dancers cope with a tornado, Sun Spots on My Heart, (you know the feeling of relief to know they aren't on the lung), and High Water Boot-Wearin' Time (oh, those overflowing outdoor toilets!!!)

She Flew Right Out the Bathroom Window and The Earth Shook Me are true-life accounts by an anonymous singer's family of their experiences with strong winds and earthquakes.

The Sunshine School Blues Band Singers take us reeling and careening through that old whiskey classic, Moonshine Eclipse of the Heart. Many a resident of Thunder Road, Mississippi claim this as their anthem. A driving tune, for sure.

The highlight of this incredibly disastrous blues compilation may be Smokey The Bear with his self-titled track, reminding and reassuring us that he is still out there on the job.

All in all, this is the most definitive disastrous compilation of blues ever assembled. Take heed.
