There's a CD called "A Soldier's Sad Story" with songs about black soldiers' experiences in Vietnam. It's gut-wrenching.

Though it's not blues, "Sky Pilot" by Eric Burdon evokes powerful imagery. You can almost smell the gun grease.

A couple of Willie Dixon tunes-"It Don't Make Sense(You Can't Make Peace) and "Study War No More". The former was covered by Robben Ford on his "Blue Moon" cd.

Also the Subdudes-"One Word-Peace".
