i 've buy it today, so i'm really exited i've found it at gran canaria's careffour at 7 euros... a very cheap price!!!

That's a good album, man. "Annie Mae" is my favorite song on that album.

It's nice to hear that you had a good experience buying that. I really like the cover of that CD. JLH looks so cool. "Too Young" is another good song on that album.

perhaps i don't like chill out... very banal stuff... with santana playng with him...
... i think this is a great album... one of my favourites of the 90 blues era( with i've really got the blues, buddy guy and the live stuff from gov't mule...)

Yeah, I've heard "Government Mule" truly a great album. You know, I was fortunate enough to be in a small room with Buddy Guy and his band back in 1967. Man, you talk about awesome, why, I sat at Buddy's feet. It was Buddy's manager who invited me to come to hear and meet him in the first place.

i met only steve morse... i've played with him a 15 minutes jam session because i knew the promoter of the gig...
he's an incrediblefusion player... but you're the luckyest!!! buddy guy, the man!!!

Man, just think, I met and sat with Buddy Guy when that cat was still in his 20s, and that was around the mid 60s. Look at him now!

I'll say he was, LoneWolf. That's how he looked when I first met him because after John Hurt died, his manager then became an agent for The Buddy Guy Blues Band which was what Buddy's first band was called.

Buddy played down in the basement for quite a few people at the old Club 47. In his band, as I remember, were A.C. Reed (sax) Junior Wells (harp). That's all I can remember, but no, Buddy Guy never played for me personally. When I was with him that night, Buddy was quiet and very aloof. A.C. Reed was more sociable and sat at a table with me during intermission. We talked a lot.

A.C. Reed, Buddy's sax man, was a character. He used to go around telling everyone that Jimmy Reed was his brother (Blueswriter, I think, can confirm this) when it actually wasn't true. After he left Buddy's band, he formed a pretty good blues band - A.C. And The SparkPlugs.

I can still remember John Lee Hooker down at Newport in 1963. One of the songs that he did was "Bus Station Blues". He was wearing a golf style hat and playing an acoustic guitar. I loved seeing him onstage performing that year.

To me, one of JLHs finest hour was when his 45 record "No More Doggin" came out. Not only were we crazy about it, but the flip side was equally as good. It had "I Need Money".
