Now, when I was young , god and in my prime , chasing different women all the time I had a woman got her name was Lou , thank god I might have tell what that woman would do , another woman got the name Henrietta ...

I'll admit to thinking when I read this, 'yeah, yeah Frank Stokes has clear diction' etc, but on playing that song, I see what you mean OM. Which isn't much help, but at least shows some empathy, I hope.

Thanks Montgomery Cleft. It took me 30 minutes to do one third and with an error(s) so far ! with Montgomery's update
Its a good thing its a good thing to have more than one ... its a good thing
Now, when I was young , God and in my prime , chasing different women all the time , I had a woman god her name was Lou , thank God I might have tell what that woman would do , another woman god the name Henrietta though she leaves her man since she marries no better , another woman god , her name was Janet though the white folks black folks she wasn't to a legit, another woman god her name was Maddit she was sitting in a dungeon in the Tustore galley , another woman God her name was Mae , a fresh man on her God every day, 'em knock me down, stomp in the face , have my troubles mama before the east rails , I went to work hard to work hard my time , and the same doggone mama y'know my mind........

Wow -- "White folks black folks," eh? If that's an accurate transcription, this is kind of a rarity. Very seldom did blues or blues-related musicians dare to broach that topic in such a blatant way in those days.
